Saguaro National Park, AZ, USA
Saguaro National Park is a desert park in two pieces near Tucson, Arizona. The saguaros themselves (pronounced sa-waa-ro) are giant branching cactus plants, up to 30 feet tall. Angie and I were there in Spring, with the temperature in the 80s (Fahrenheit, not Centigrade!).
Later Angie was paddled over a park bench, but what you see here is just play: I found a fearsome thorny branch, made her bend over, and laid it ever so gently against her tender bottom. Even that was enough to provoke some flinching.
But no thorns were harmed in making these pictures.
